Stanmore College hosted its latest Dragons’ Den competition earlier this month.
Seven teams of college sixth formers battled it out for a first prize of top quality business
consultancy and support.
The ‘Dragons’ included Elliot Zissman,
the UK’s Young Entrepreneur of the year for 2009, and two big names from the banking world,
The winner of the competition was Cephas Williams who runs a dynamic clothing company from his bedroom. It’s called Drummer Boy Clothing and it produces a t-shirt and sweatshirt clothing line which promotes positive images and slogans and has a following of 4000 ‘fans’
- potential customers - on ‘Facebook’.
Jacqui Mace, Stanmore College’s Principal, said,
‘It has been fantastically exciting to see the entrepreneurial flair of our sixth form students.
I wish Cephas and all today’s other competitors every success with their business ventures.’
